Yes Uber, same team and I believe the drama has left the building!!! Our girls went 3-0 first weekend with new coach and 2-1 last weekend in pool play. We are proud of them, they are a scrappy bunch who just want to get on with playin ball.

I watched this team battle, they will make some noise in the very near future, lets focus on the future, the girls have moved past the distraction.

I couldn't agree more Dave! The three of you have made a big difference as well.

No refund. I would only refund money if a player was hurt before season began and couldn't play or if I asked a player to leave the team early in the season (never happened yet).

I am surprised by the unanimous opinion to just release her and move on. Yea it is the easy way out but it sounds like a life lesson is being missed for that poor kid. Actions have consequences in real life. She needs to learn this and the younger the better. Don't know if this would be a good time and place without knowing more but it should have been considered. Would come with a bonus of revenge on the idiot parents. Maybe it's just not the team's responsibility to teach her life lessons. Who knows.

I have seen this done before 18u & 10u. The 2 girls played with my dd's Ohio Bandits team. They thought they were really putting the screws to the coach and all they did was put the screws to the girls on the team. They played on Friday night in Toledo then on Saturday morning showed up to the fields just so the one girls could get her bat bag. It was very classless and selfish on thier part. If you dont want to be on a team then be honest and leave. If you are a coach just release them. If they play games you dont need them! Let them be someone elses headache!

The life lesson that the parents are teaching (right or wrong) will always trump what a coach can do in this case. There is always another side.

I always hope for an honest, calm conversation when something like this goes down and believe that is the case more often than not.

We had a similiar situation with our team. Trust me let her go and a huge weight off everyones shoulders is what you get. She wasn't a stand out player so it didnt hurt much. If you don't release her then the coaches and yourself will never get along. Us parents are here for the girls, if they don't have the committment from her coaches then let her go.
Sounds to me like a coach issue. Just my opinion. Good luck to you. I believe you may find someone even better..........there always is!!!

I guess the biggest lesson learned is.............make sure its a good "marriage" for both from the start. The change in coaching probably was a factor. Some people believe in some methods of coaching certain skills while others believe in something diff. Ex. Rotational vs Linear hitting. Just make sure from the start everything is a good fit. Saves everyone alot of everthing.:lmao:
