I'm going to be all over the dartboard on this thread so bear with me..
DD gets somewhere between 7 to 8 hours a day, with a schedule that includes 2-3 games a week plus practice, normally M-F. Sundays and or Saturdays maybe some hitting instruction. So, bedtime is 10, but you know how girls push it, by the end of the week, DD looks exhausted, almost misses the bus, runs out the house, probably bites into pop tart without unwrapping it...does this eventually lead to poor performance? nagging injuries?
I know this sounds like a "my DD has too much going on" rant, but i think she is typical of a girl RIGHT NOW, since school ball is in and school is winding down...If I stay up late, like now, it affects me later in the week, but I'm old....
are our girls getting plenty of rest?
if and when do naggin injuries occur, do you shelve them? do you remind them about the last appointment and doctor suggestion and that the knee wrap is still in the bag? How much rest is enough, or should I even be worried (i'm sure there is some DD up now, twiddling away on myspace, barely eating dinner)....
