Indoor Tournament S.S.I.D.L. 4th Annual College Showcase

S.S.I.D.L. College Showcase Oct. 31, Nov. 1 ? 2 to be conducted indoors at the Spano Dome located in Akron, Ohio. Game format will be a guaranteed 5 straight games with Pitching distance at 43 feet (for all), at a cost of $400.00 per team also limited space of only 20 teams.
In the past 3 years coaches from Div.I, Div.II, and Div.III both NCAA and NAIA representing Colleges and Universities from IN., MI., KY., WVA., PA., NY., and Ohio have been in attendance during the weekend event.

Is this one really a 43-ft. pitching distance? My dd pitched and said she thinks it's 43, but our umpire said it looks like 40 ft... no blind ump jokes please.

Results are secondary in these types of tournaments.

- Many coaches play the players that need the exposure.

- There are no trophies at the end of the weekend.

- Players already signed often sit out, so some teams may not be at full strength.

- The oganization putting on the showcase doesn't even display brackets or scores.

- And this format was "Games stop immediately at the 70 minute mark", so home team strategies can't even be used.

- Not a qualifier for any sanctioning body.

- Etc,...
