Don't waste your time and money, do it yourself with help from your coach.

Any coach who is a member of NFCA has the same information...Where are the moderators and administrators? People are posting whatever wherever. It's getting out of hand.

Agreed!

Additionally, to anyone reading that info that does not know already, they do not read the e-mails anyway unless they are already looking at you and looking for the e-mail. That comes from your coaches contacting them and them seeing you in action, only! But, I do believe that sending hundreds of e-mails is only wasting time for the parents who write them and not paper! Save the trees!!!

I take some exception to the post that emails are a waste of time. Emails show interest. Then fwp with invite to games, coaches influence etc.. I do not think that they are a waste of time. On the other hand, I would not suggest sending 100's. Narrow down to a small group of schools 6-8 and then concentrate on them in your correspondence. Be honest with yourself on the level you should target.

Didn't mean e-mails in general are a waste of time only that e-mails in the way it is being promoted by OP is a waste of time along with paying for a service for it. Just wanted anyone seriously looking into it to steer clear from spending the money and thinking it will help. I was curious so I read into it. $39 for a region or $99 for all. Needless to say I did not "LIKE" them on Facebook.

The 6-8 number of schools is the perfect number for reaching out and that information is readily available for free. They may or may not be read initially but it will show a history of communication when the ball gets rolling. Once the coaches take over and you can be seen, that is when the e-mails are more relevant. Of course there is a another topic of what to put in those communications. Coaches are your best friend when it comes to e-mails unless you are old enough to get replies.

I agree - but too many times, I see very good players not get recruited because they do not self-recruit. It takes talent and hard work on and off the field. Any playing for a coach that is actively helping in the recruiting isnt bad either.
