P rospect camp Feb 18th from 4-7pm . Open invitation to any 7th-12th grader that might have interest at playing at SSU in the future . Each camper will get to show case their skills to the SSU staff. New to softball world so sorry if this sounds like a dumb question...so we pay YOU $50 for you to evaluate whether or not our child has college ball potential?

Not quite that simple , its not a instructional camp over 8 hours or even overnight as some instructional camps are . It is a prospect camp with tips on recruitment and yes tips given on O and D if needed , and in the future if the numbers get too high we will move to an invitation only format . Its a camp like most colleges hold in order to get closer access to a college staff as opposed to hoping the staff sees you at tournament , or blindly stumbles into you . Its part of the process of building a relationship with a staff and letting them know the players interest matches the staff's. We have some players I'd love to come to camp that we are actively recruiting , the 50 bucks isnt stopping them , but other priorities are . And strictly FWIW -- Osu charges 125 for a 4 hour instructional camp or 175 for a 9-6 type camp. Thanks .
