The Silver Creek Starz softball organization will be holding tryouts for the 2015 season for all age divisions from 10U - 18U.

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to tryout start time for sign-in/registration.

There are NO fees for tryouts.

Should you not be able to make one of the scheduled tryout times, please contact Rob Latess (724)714-4581 to schedule a private tryout.

10U To be announced	This team returns a core of returning players from the 2014 season and will be made up of 2004-2006 birth year players and will play 8 or 9 spring/summer local tournaments within 1-2 hour radius of western pa/eastern oh. All positions are open and available. ​
11U Tim Wittig 412-337-6793	This team will primarily be made up of 1st year 12u eligible athletes. but will also consider 2nd year 12u athletes based on the team’s needs. We will practice weekly (hitting/defense) with an emphasis on developing/mastering softball fundamentals and game play. Winter activities will include organizational practices at the YSU and may include scrimmages at 3H’s or similar facilities. We will play in competitive local events and the final schedule may include 1-2 overnight stays (hotel).TBD​
12U To be announced	This team will be made up of 2002 birth year players and will play 8 or 9 spring/summer local tournaments within 1-2 hour radius of western pa/eastern oh. All positions are open and available. We are still actively looking for a manager for this team, but hope to have a confirmed manager very soon. 13U Chandler Wes Chandler 330-502-9910	This team will primarily consist of 2001 birth year. This team as of now plans on playing in a fall league consisting of 6 weeks along with hitting practice once a week at our facility in Bessemer. There will also be individual team and organizational workouts at YSU in the winter along with separate indoor practices and scrimmages during the winter. This team plans an aggressive schedule consisting of 10-12 tournaments. We are looking for committed girls that put team first.​
13U Dohy Matt Dohy 330-766-0225	This team is primarily 2001 birth year and will play in 2 fall tournaments/showcases as well as summer tournament schedule that will include application to Laser Nation and other regional showcase events. (Appx 8 summer events with some requiring an overnight stay). We will practice twice weekly. We do not plan to play a fall or winter league.​
14U Russo Brad Russo 724-944-8235	This team is solely comprised of players with a '00 birth year. The team plans on playing two fall events, including Pumpkin Smash and PGF Fall Showcase. 1-2 winter tournaments such as Spano Dome, etc. The summer schedule will include events such as Compuware, Laser Nation, Stingrays, Fire in the Sky and GAPPS. The team will have 1-2 team practices each week, while having weekly hitting practice as well. The primary needs of the team include: middle infield (1), corner infield (1) and pitching (1).​

15U Duddy Frank Duddy 724-674-2791	This team will be made up of primarily 2017/18 grads. We will have weekly batting and defensive practice beginning in September. Winter practices will be at YSU. We plan 1 fall exposure tournament and 5-6 summer tournaments. Tournaments may include Lasers, Stingrays/Buckeye Recruitfest, Firecracker Showcase, Battle of the Burgh. Team members will be encouraged to self-promote to college coaches and maintain a player profile. Looking for serious committed athletes.​
16U Elite Hank Pezzuolo 724-730-3520	This team will consist of 2016-2017 grads and will play in 2-3 fall showcases including Americas Premier PGF Showcase and Best of the Best. Summer showcases will include application to Pennsbury, PGF Midwest Showcase, Three Rivers Summer Showcase, Stingrays, GAPSS and IUP.​
18U White Tim White 724-714-1662	This team returns a core of players made up of 2015-16 grads but will also consider 2017 graduates based on position needs for player & team. Our schedule may include 1-2 fall & 5-6 summer events. Possible events include: IUP, Three Rivers Summer Showcase, Battle of the Burg and a couple other local tournaments. All positions are open & available to players that are committed to the team.​
