I haven't received any checks from anyone yet. Teams say they will be coming but nothing locked down yet.

I don't know where everyone is coming from but if you are in need of a hotel room at all, the Dayton Marriott is giving us a great rate. They just put over 6 million into the hotel and it looks very nice. They are giving us rooms for $69.99 a night. If you would like some more information on that send me an email.

I have replied to emails about it. A team from Piqua has expressed interest. We will still do it if we get 4. Maybe longer games, and a later start time.

Where are all the 14U Teams at? Haven't gotten a lot of interest for our first event coming up. Are there just not a lot of teams?

It is to short of notice in our case, I was figureing on the events being in Jan. once again this year so we gave them the month Nov. off and we start back in Dec. Thats just our case

I agree, sorry. I can only go as fast as this school lets me. I had my dates in around August. Next year I guess I should turn in the dates in May.

we went to the 18u last year and there was a good mix of competiton and college coaches sitting behind the nets.

Sorry, player individuals this weekend have taken up a lot of my time. Lets see, with people saying that they were sending checks:

14U None (Good News if your a 12U Team, again if we get 4 12U teams we can have them play each that first week)
16U Valley Storm, Ohio Wave, and then people interested with random emails but nothing confirmed.
18U Ohio Stingrays, Valley Storm and then the same thing as 16U. Some people/parents/teams have contacted but haven't received payment.

Lets see, I have had some ideas and my assistants and I have been very busy these last couple days. I think we sent out 100-200 emails to teams from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. We are going to do more in the next too days. Were going to eteamz.com and emailing every softball program we see.

Again, I'm sorry we moved these too December and next year we will be back to January and February but we are trying the best that we can to fill the events on short notice. I am remaining optimistic.

If we get at least 4-6 teams in an event then we will have it.

League hasn't gone very well. I just got a call from a baseball guy though that said he could get 4-5 teams for 11U Baseball. I doesn't matter to me what age group, if we get 4 teams we can work something out. I am willing to sit down or talk to anyone that has an idea or an age group that would work for the league. Everyone should know though that we only have these dates to work with:

December 1st-4th, 8th-11th, 15th-18th. An extra date on 22nd or 23rd.

The Valley Storm would love to play in a winter league and in the winter tournaments . I am sure some High School teams would love the chance to play in the winter also.

Where are all the local teams ???

Lady Charmers 16U / 18U, Dayton Yellow Jackets 18U, Ohio Hawks 16U, Dayton Dominators 15U / 16U, Miami Valley Express, Ohio Wave 15U / 16U / 18U, Sudden Death 15U / 16U, Outcast 16U, MV Vipers 16U, Miami County Blaze 16U / 18U, Ohio Danger 16U / 18U....etc.

Also where are all the Columbus area 15U, 16U and 18U teams ??? Hell, it's only an hour away.

Stingrays, Buckeye Heat, Classics, Vipers... etc.

Where are the Cincy area 15U, 16U and 18U teams...???

Doom, Chill, Storm, Ofc Heat....etc.

Sorry, I know I missed a lot of teams but you get the picture.

Time is running out...Send in a check, show up, and play hard.

Valley Storm - Doom would show up and play hard, however, as a result of winter sports and a couple of injuries, Doom would be at a disadvantage with only being able to field 7 or possibly 8 positions. There was some talk about possibly getting in the 18U league, but the time of the games were not feasible as a lot of the girls wouldn't be able to get there in time for the earlier games and if scheduled for the late game, there was no telling what time they would be getting home on a school night. Plus, a coach from another org. advised when asked to put a 16U team in the 18U league, there was concern the 16U team may not be competitive enough. Attempts and considerations were made, just couldn't make it happen.

Best of luck to the teams who enter the tournament and/or league. It's for a good cause, plus the girls get to play in some games instead of just practicing.

Chewy, Just wondering where everybody was this time of year. There will be 3 Tournaments at Sinclair in December, not just the league. Hope to see you there.

I was wondering where everyone was too. I figured December would be a great time to have the Sinclair tournament. I noticed both the Dome and the Sportszone in Indiana have full tournaments. This is so close to home and the facility is great, IMHO. Hope some more 16U sign up!
