How many teams have sisters playing on the same team. How do they get along. My daughters do it and I believe they have gotten even closer. I tell them to watch the movie League of Their Own. It has been a pleasure watching them have fun together and smile. Great videos for when they grow up and get married and have kids of their own, What stories they can tell.

My daughters played together this week for the first time in 3 years. I don't think it affected them one way or another but it was nice for Mom and Dad!

I played with both my younger sister and my older sister and I LOVED it. We played together since we were little and we could anticipate each other very well. You can also communicate with your sisters and say things to them that you can't say to other teammates. We were each others harshest critics and biggest supporters and you can bet your behind that if you messed up, they would be on you like stink on poo. We still play together now and are just as hard on each other as we've always been...it's a blast!!! I'd recommend it to any sisters.

My girls played rec and select ball together, but now they are split up. One on 10u and one on 12u. Honestly, they hate even playing catch with eachother. One will complain that the other throws too hard, than the other gets mad and whips it back at her. But I can honestly say that is the only time they don't get along. Other than softball, they are best friends and don't know what to do without eachother.

Good idea about League of their Own. Maybe I should make them watch it.

My two daughters play on same team again this season ... so far, no complaints. They played rec ball together. Last season one played 10u, the other played 12u. (We let the organization talk us into it) Life was quite stressful having a son who also plays baseball ...... we did everything we could to have one parent at each of their events.... not to mention the stress of getting transportation.

I am sure there is some sort of competition between the two of them. I know they both want to do well and contribute to their team ... both have their own stronger talents which compliment each other well.

As a parent, I am loving every minute of it!

Well, my dd's are almost 4 yrs apart. They have played together a couple of times, but mostly against each other, especially last year. All on the rec level mind you. For the past couple of years, cats and dogs in dugout. Always preferred them playing on different teams. This year, been on same team. Older has bit her tongue more this year. They competitive against each other. However, outside a sporting event, they are the best of friends.

It's interesting you ask, I was just reflecting on how they spat at home and have grown closer on the field. Every other year they can play together (they are 17 mos apart in age).

Last week the older DD playing right field caught a deep fly hit off her sister who was a pitching. Bases were loaded, 2 outs in the last inning, winning run was on second and would have easily scored. Big sis saved the game for her team and for her little sister. Little sis pitcher (and the better athlete by far) ran out to right field to hug her sister as the game ended. It made me cry.

K1,

Your dd's are amazing! So many great memories watching them! I especially liked seeing gunner and juice on the field at the same time during varsity last year! I think the fact they respect each other so much is very cool!!

PS, saw you drive by last night! We need to get together one of these days and have a blue pop! ;)

at one point this season that option would have been viable.

Have 2 sets of sisters on our team what is fun one set my dds are a pitcher and catcher combo or the younger will play 3rd beside her, great experience for both mom and dad. The other set play 2nd and RF. Both sets get along great.
What is fun the 2 sets get together and the one sister will point to my one dd and says she likes the other better and vice versa with my dds.
This will be the last year my dds will get to play together.

Hate to rain on the parade but it's not all peaches and cream with siblings on a team. We had a sisters combo at pitcher/catcher for HS and IMO trouble between the two would go from the field to home and back to the field again. They were really working each others nerves for a while. Dad told me he had to break up WWIII in the kitchen one night after the following exchange occurred after a game we lost big due to errors and some homeruns. Pitcher sister says "We could win some games if our defense could catch a ball once in a while." Catcher sister says "What do you want them to do? Stand on the other side of the fence and wait for them?" :)

OMG. That is awesome, i would of just burst out laughing...Typical of a pitcher to remeber the errors, and the catcher to remember the pitches that were left up in the zone...
