The 2nd annual Mt. Gilead High School Slappers Clinic has been scheduled.

It will be on Sunday Nov 7, 2010 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.

We will only be accepting 75 players this year, due to the size of the groups. This will allow for 7 to 8 girls for each group. We will also have access to the back gym, so more drills will be provided. Again this year Coach Cassie Cunningham will be the Camp Instructor along with her Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops Softball Team players.

Also at the lunch break Coach Cunningham will speak on College Recruitment, the "in's" and "out's", the "Can do's", and the "Can not Do's"

Also new this year, the PRE-REGISTRATION will be $35.00, and it will be $45.00 at the door.

Early registrar ion is preferred. This will allow us a greater ability to plan drills, knowing how many players will be there as well as for the Mt. Gilead Athletic Boosters to plan for food at the concession stand. ($8.75/hour for 3 hours of clinic time and an hour of College recruitment lecture--NOT BAD)

Can't find a better coach to teach slapping than Coach Cunningham. She has worked with dd for quite some time and has been a great help. Plus coach is a great motivator and girls love her.

Could not agree more ... Cassie is awesome. This is from someone who's DD has attended slap/ short game/ speed (they all have their own names) camps put on by some of the best, including Larry Ray (Arizona), Karen & Ralph Weekly (Tennessee), and Mike Larabee (Wright St/ Arkansas). They were all very good but no one does it better than Cassie (and you don't have to travel across state lines).

Coach Cunningham is a superb coach. She has worked with my DD to switch her from right to left. My DD loves her! Best thing we ever did in taking her to Cassie! Great person on and off the field!!!

GREAT CLINIC and I can only echo all the great comments about Coach C. She has been kind enough to answer all the follow-up questions we emailed her after the clinic as well. I plan on bringing down a vanload from toledo...

I would sugget getting the vanload of paperwork turned in. Not sure if I mentioned this but the School system as finished up the construction and we will have access to the back gym which will allow Coach C to put together a few more drills! It is only going to get better!!!.

Just wanted to remind everyone that there is a 75 player limit this year as requested by Coach C. Thata way she has 7-8 students per group. So get your registration in early.

Since it has not been hot enough here in Ohio of late, my family is going to go vist Mickey and Friends in Florida. Take care and we will talk on aug 22.

After-action report: These guys have a major problem--if they keep up running it this well, they're going to need a bigger gym.......I brought three down with limited experience. Coach C is truly awesome, superb, etc--you get the idea. Her players were friendly and professional;(a sometimes very tough mix, but they pulled it off). And as far as the facility and the staff-clean, food priced right and adequate, and everyone was just friendly. No bickering, no undercurrents based on who you are, etc. Truly a totally classy operation, and I might bring two van loads next year, so BE WARNED!
One of the best money to value clinics we ever attended. Only negative--letting in Steelers' fans! lol The clinic was so good, even WE got along(Who-dey!)

Just one of the comments about our first camp last year. We are excited to be able to offer this again. We are currently working on getting door prizes, and also there will be Slap Clinic T-Shirts for sale from a uniform business.
