I understand that each organization wants the athlete to come to their tryout but OMG!!!
Trying to figure out a plan of action is nearly impossible with so many being conducted at same time and same dates!! Too much time and money being invested to not be able to explore more than a couple options for DD as well as coaches. Ok, rant over!! Thanks!

Yes its crazy! More Org's are going to weekdays and the week of nationals to get the 1st jump on tryouts. Also a reason why girls hold out on a offer.

You can always do private tryouts. Typically we haven't done them but we are exploring more this year.

It is crazy! It is a busy time of year and I'm very happy that some have gone to weekdays. Good luck!

If you have several teams on your 1st choice list and the tryouts are the same day like others have posted contact the head coach and most will set up a a tryout time and date for your schedule.

With the Static we have a few weekend dates and weekday dates but; will make arrangements for dates outside of the big tryouts.
The most important thing is to contact the coach for any team on your list...No use wasting time trying out for a team that is only looking for a utility player this early in the proccess...

I know a lot of teams offer private tryouts, but as a coach, I think I would rather see the kids alongside others for a tryout. To me, the best way to measure each player's ability is to compare them to the other players on the field. I agree with the original post that there are so many tryouts at the same time that it makes it difficult to get your kid to all of them. I think it is good for kids to tryout for multiple teams so that they can get feedback from as many coaching staffs as possible regarding their strengths and weaknesses. This feedback can also serve as a reality check for parents who think their kid is an all-star, if 4 different sets of coaches are giving similar feedback.

Amen.... Just look at the tryouts posted. What i think is a joke is the trend where every single team in a org has its own posting.

How else can you make the most of bumps and always have your name at the top?? ; )

I too like to see the other girls trying out with my dd. I feel like if they see the other girls going all out, diving for balls or generally not being afraid of making a mistake because of hustle. It elevates every girl there that truly wants to play at a higher level.
