CLEVELAND, Ga. – Defending conference champion Truett McConnell University (17-5; 4-0 AAC), ranked number 20 in the NAIA National Top 25 Coaches' poll, won both halves of an Appalachian Athletic Conference softball doubleheader against Point University (11-9; 7-5 AAC), by scores of 7-2 and 2-1, Tuesday, March 12, in Cleveland, Ga. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (Eighth season), Point hosts Middle Georgia State University (12-6) for a non-conference doubleheader on West Point Park Field, Thursday, March 14, at 3 p.m.; and travels to Montreat College (N.C.) for a Saturday, March 16 AAC doubleheader at 2 p.m.
