I was standing in line at a concession stand during this weekends tournament and I had a couple parents asking me some questions. People know I was from Ohio so usually the discussion heads that way - and I was relating the high temps that were taking place at the Stingrays tournament - it was only 93 here this weekend. I am always trying to get teams from down here to venture up that way..... When that conversation ended a young man asked if I was from Columbus - he had just moved to Dublin this past winter. Small talk ensued and I finally got it out of him that his name was Mickey Marotti. The strength and conditioning coach and Football Asst AD. What an unassuming, polite, well spoken gentleman (New Tradition: OSU High Energy/"Quick Cals" Drill with Students - YouTube). His daughter Maddie plays on Team North Florida. I am sure you will see her around the fields in Columbus sometime soon. We are lucky to have the family there. He is a Western Pa guy, but we won't hold that against him!!!
