[Softball] Brookdale Wins District E Championship
Vineland, NJ- Cumberland County College played host to the Region XIX championship games Saturday. #1 Brookdale Community College faced off against #5 Camden County College in the first matchup of the day.
In game one the Jersey Blues put the Cougars away early winning by a convincing score of 8-0. Things were different in game two as the Cougars went up by a score of 3-0 early, but the eventual champions would come back and win the game 5-3 to sweep the 3 game series. Sophmore Paige Eckert was named tournament MVP. Brookdale will now advance to the NJCAA National Tournament in Rochester Minnesota May 17-19, 2018.
