DAYTON, Tenn. – The Bryan College softball team is coming off a momentous finish to their regular-season where the Lions pulled off a split of 5th-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College (Ky.) after roaring past the Grizzlies in game two. Bryan will hope to ride that momentum into Appalachian Athletic Conference softball tournament action, which gets underway this week. Over the weekend, the league released the bracket for the four-day event, and the Lions received the No. 8 seed while being paired up with top-seeded Truett McConnell University (Ga.) in the opening round. The Bears, who battled their way to the regular-season crown, received the No. 1 seed with an overall record of 41-7 and conference mark of 24-2. The Lions finished out the regular-season at 20-26 overall and an even 13-13 in the AAC. Bryan and Truett will clash on Wednesday, April 24 in game two on the day, which is slated to start at 1pm.
