The Mayville State University Comets opened their home conference schedule Saturday. But, due to inclement weather and poor field conditions at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville, the Comets traveled to Casselton, N.D., where they played on Kost Field, the home of the Central Cass High School softball team. A change of venue didn't hurt the Comets, as they came home with a split.
