The Comets defeated the #23 team in the country, Midland Warriors, 9-2 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with Mayville State batting in the bottom of the fifth when Nicole Bunting tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring Dayna Gutierrez and Amanda Izzo to give MSU the lead and eventual win.
