Texarkana, TX- Dorrie Cormier has signed her Letter of Intent to play softball for the Eagles. The left-handed pitcher is currently a sophomore at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC). Her freshman year she posted a .514 BA with a fielding % of .974. She helped lead the team to a Conference Championship and rankings as high as 17th nationally. Currently she is hitting .385 and sporting an ERA of 3.44 while being ranked #18 in the nation. Before attending BPCC, Cormier attended Acadiana High School in Lafayette, LA. While playing 4 years of softball for the Rams, she was named 1st team pitcher for District 5-3A all four years, 2nd Team All-State (2015&2016), and 1st Team All-Metro (2015). In that time, the Rams had 3 playoff appearances and were ranked #10 in Louisiana in 2017. Dorrie was also top 20% of her class while being an Army Reserve Scholar, and Scholastic Scholar.
