Softball Earns Shutout Win, Falls on a Walk-off in Doubleheader
The Malone University softball team split a doubleheader against conference leader Ohio Dominican University on Monday. Malone took game one 1-0 and lost the back end 3-1 in eight innings. Pitcher Kelsey Byers threw a complete game one-hitter to secure the victory for the Pioneers in the opening game and Kristen Bales smacked a walk-off homerun in extra innings for the Panthers to even the series at one apiece.
