[Softball] Lack of timely hits hurt GC in games with Campbellsville

Defensively it was almost a gem for Georgetown College softball Tuesday against No. 4 Campbellsville University. However, offensively the GC Tigers struggled to string hits together at the right time stranding 12 total in the twinbill at Tiger Softball Complex.

CU (31-4, 13-1) won 2-1 and 3-1 over Georgetown (21-10, 7-5). Campbellsville made the most of two hits for two runs off ace Hannah Morton in inning one of game one. A lead-off bunt single in the third by Katie Young had the home team rallying, but eventually GC stranded two in scoring position and the pitcher's duel ensued.

Morton scattered five hits with four strikeouts, while Neely Quint allowed six hits with four strikeouts. The Georgetown pitcher had four innings of three-up, three down. Quint pitched two perfect innings.
