But the Lynx were able to get the last our and secure a non-conference win over SDC. The Hawks fall to 6-13 on the season while Lindenwood-Belleville won the first game of their California road trip.

The Lynx scored a run to open the game in the top of the first. They tacked on three runs in the second, including a solo homer from pitcher Shelby Sievers.

Haley Curradi hit a double down the left field line in the bottom of the third but was stranded there as the Hawks were held scoreless through three.

Lindenwood-Belleville added two runs in the top of the seventh before the Hawks scored their runs.

Elizabeth Wilson and Noemi Farfan hit back-to-back singles to open the inning. Alicia Corona's single to center scored Wilson for their first run and a Joselle Nicolas hit a sac fly to bring home Farfan. But it was too little too late as the Hawks fell short.

Nicolas led the team with two hits. Madelyn Jacobs threw the complete game for the Hawks allowing 10 hits and four earned runs with two strikeouts.

SDC will get back into conference play on Friday as they host Ottawa-Arizona starting at noon.
