La Sierra, the #4 seed in the California Pacific Conference Softball Championship, jumped out early, fell behind, and then chipped away to regain the lead and earn the victory over Embry-Riddle in the final game of Day 1 in Redding, Calif. With the win, the Golden Eagles stay alive in the double-elimination tournament and will face the loser of the Simpson-Marymount California matchup tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The Eagles, the #3 seed in the tournament, are eliminated from the postseason and close out the 2019 season with an overall record of 17-25.
