On Tuesday, Montreat faced the NAIA's #11 team, the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders, in a softball doubleheader in Columbia, Kentucky. The Cavaliers won the first game, extending their winning streak to five games, before dropping the second game, 10-5.

The first game saw the current AAC pitcher of the week Cailin Warner (SO/Portland, OR) back up her credentials, pitching a complete game and allowing just three hits and no runs. The righthander also struck out two Blue Raiders. Offensively, Warner gave her own cause a boost when she sent the first pitch in her seventh inning plate appearance over the left field fence.

The Cavs also received a run when the AAC player of the week Abby Swilley (SO/Riceville, TN) took a pitch to leftfield to score Mikki Shelton (SO/Old Fort, NC).

In the second game, the Crusaders' solved Montreat pitching early and late, scoring two in the first and coming back to score four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings for the 10-5 victory. Montreat got two RBIs from Danyelle Joli (FR/Battle Ground, WA), who pitched a portion of the ballgame as well. Victoria Hill (JR/Beaufort, SC) went 2-3, and Swilley was 2-4 batting in the cleanup spot.

Montreat did well getting the ball in play, as the Blue Raiders' pitchers didn't register a single strikeout. For the most part the ball stayed in the infield as Sydney Fourman registered 14 putouts on the bag at first.
