COLUMBIA, Mo. – The AMC Softball Tournament got underway on Tuesday at the Antimi Softball Complex and the No. 2 seed Lyon College Softball team split the first day at the event. The Scots fell in the first game of Pool Play to No. 7 seed Missouri Baptist, 1-0, but made a strong comeback to defeat No. 6 seed Williams Baptist 6-5 to stay alive in the Tournament this afternoon.
Rachel Norman set the single season record for most hits in a season as she now has 80. Anna Beth Conditt also delivered a clutch pinch-hit two-RBI single to give the Scots the lead against the Eagles.
