The softball program at Shawnee State continued its raid inside the Scioto County lines on Friday evening, as the Bears picked up their third commitment from its third different Scioto County program in a week-and-a-half's time with the signing of Addisyn Newman to its 2020 recruiting class in a ceremony that was held at Northwest High School in McDermott.
Newman, who joins fellow Scioto County products in Cassie Schaefer and Brittani Wolfenbarker in signing with Shawnee State to play for the program in 2021 and beyond, is a four-year starter in softball and has also contributed to the Lady Mohawks' success on the volleyball court.
