KINGSPORT, TN: Point University (28-23), seeded number six, scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning and defeated number three-seeded Union College (21-22) by a score of 2-1 in a first-round game in the 2018 Appalachian Athletics Conference Softball Championships at the Brickyard Ballfields in Kingsport, Tenn., Wednesday, April 25.
