DAYTON, Tenn. – Point University (17-15; 10-8 AAC) and Bryan College (10-22; 7-11 AAC) split their Friday, March 29 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) doubleheader at Bryan, with the Lions edging the Skyhawks in game one, 1-0, and Point winning game two, 10-0 in five innings. Bryan pushed across an unearned run on a dropped fly ball in left field and a run-scoring double in the first inning against senior Ryan Simpson (Valley, AL), and junior Allie Beilstein (Montgomery, AL) hurled her third shutout of the season in game two and was helped out by a pair of bases-loaded extra base hits. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (Eighth season), Point plays an AAC doubleheader at second-place Tennessee Wesleyan University (19-3; 16-2 AAC), which ranks number 23 in the NAIA, Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m.
