TALLADEGA, Ala. – Point University improved its season record to 20-16 with its fifth doubleheader sweep of the season, defeating Talladega College (4-22) by scores of 4-1 and 18-2 in five innings, Tuesday, April 2, in Talladega, Ala. Point totaled eight hits, three for extra bases, and senior Ryan Simpson (Valley, AL) pitched a four-hitter in game one, and the Skyhawks added 15 more hits, two for extra bases, and scored 11 runs in the first inning of game two. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (eighth season), Point plays a pair of important Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheaders at Allen University, Thursday, April 4, at 1 p.m., and at Columbia International University (S.C.), Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m.
