GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Point University (14-12; 9-7 AAC) trailed 1-0 in game one but scored a tying run in the fourth inning and two go-ahead runs in the fifth inning of a 3-1 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Brenau University (16-4; 5-3 AAC) in March 19 action in Gainesville, Ga. Brenau, which received votes for the current NAIA National Top 25 Coaches' poll, tallied five runs in the first inning and three in the sixth inning of game two and salvaged a doubleheader split with an 8-1 win. Coached by Jennifer Tyler (Eighth season), Point plays two games at Georgia Southwestern State University, Friday, March 22, beginning at 2 p.m.
