WEST POINT, GA: Point University junior Ryan Simpson (Valley, AL) has been named Appalachian Athletics Conference Softball Co-Pitcher of the Year and also received All-AAC first team and All-AAC Academic Team honors, and senior shortstop Madyson Brown (Valley, AL) received All-AAC second team and All-AAC Academic Team honors for the 2018 season. The conference awards were announced during the AAC Softball Tournament banquet at the Farmer's Market in Kingsport, Tenn., April 24.
