Softball Recruiting in Ohio

Went to OSU yesterday also and used it not only as a time to watch some fun softball,but to tell my DD to check out the coaches and see if there's anyone she's impressed with their coaching style. She's only a sophomore, but it can't hurt to look. I know she's not picking her school strictly on softball either, but hopefully when the time comes, there be at least a little money involved from someone!

Your daughter is at the exact right age to have her player profile completed and mailed out to all schools that she is interested in. She should also be emailing all of the schools that she has sent letters to, leaving them both her travel and high school coaches contact information. For example cell, email address and team websight's. The colleges cannot call or email you back until 9/1 of her junior year, but if your travel team plays at high profile events and they like what they see, they will surely contact your coach and ask about you. They may even want you to visit unofficially!
