[Softball] RedStorm opens conference play with sweep

RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande softball team opened its home schedule and River States Conference play in successful fashion, sweeping a doubleheader from Asbury University on Friday afternoon at Rio Softball Park.
The RedStorm, playing for the first time in nearly two weeks, improved to 10-8 overall and 2-0 in conference play after defeating the Eagles by scores of 3-1 and 8-2.
Asbury slipped to 3-9 overall and 0-2 in the RSC with the losses.
