[Softball] Rio holds off Eagles, falls to Sand Sharks

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - The University of Rio Grande built an early 5-0 lead, but was forced to hang on down the stretch for a 6-5 win over Reinhardt (Ga.) University, Saturday evening, in non-conference softball action at the Richard Gray Sports Complex.
Earlier in the day, the RedStorm dropped a 6-1 decision to the University of South Carolina-Beaufort.
The split of the two games left Rio Grande with an overall record of 5-3.
