Springfield, Mo. - Facing elimination and the end of the season, Breena Smith guided Marian to a pair of shutout wins against Baker University in the NAIA Opening Round. In game one, Smith tossed her second no-hitter of the season as Marian won the game 1-0, while she threw a complete game shutout in game two as the Knights won the championship game 5-0. Marian will head to their fourth straight NAIA World Series with an overall record of 53-1.
