Excelsior Springs, Mo. (February 14, 2019)- The Missouri Valley College softball team opened its season Thursday afternoon with a non-conference doubleheader against Kansas Wesleyan University, played in Excelsior Springs, Mo. The Vikings battled with the Coyotes in the first game, but fell late, 12-4. The second game was suspended due to cold temperatures with Missouri Valley leading KWU, 7-4, in the top of the third inning.
