[Softball] Solo home run spoils game one for GC
Georgetown College softball ace Hannah Morton pitched a gem against No. 4 Campbellsville University Wednesday afternoon on the road. Through six innings she allowed just two hits, no runs with one walk and six strikeouts.
Unfortunately, the 22 batter she faced took a 2-2 count over the fence for a walk off, solo home run. The GC Tigers (24-12, 10-7) fell 1-0. Game two is set to start around 4 pm.
Campbellsville improves to 35-5 and 17-2 in Mid-South Conference action.
