[Softball] Threshers enter uncharted territory after sweep of York

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Gloomy skies were the only negatives to what was otherwise a spectacular day of softball for the Bethel Threshers (19-20, 10-10). With four regular season games left going into this afternoon's double-header against the York Panthers (8-31, 4-14), Bethel needed at least a split to keep their postseason hopes alive. The Threshers were able to do one better on "Senior Day," as hot hitting helped the team take a 9-1 victory in Game 1, followed by a nerve-wracking finish which capped off the 3-2 win for Bethel. With the sweep of the Panthers, Bethel has now clinched their first KCAC postseason bid in program history, as well as setting new season-high's in total wins (19) and conference wins (10).
