[Softball] Tigers continue dominant run; Win streak extended to 14 games

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – "Another day, another dollar," the old adage goes…but for the Olivet Nazarene University softball team, the saying should be: "Another double header, another two wins." After a crazy start to the weekend on Friday with two walk-off wins against the University of St. Francis, Olivet was ready for the Judson University Eagles on Saturday, April 6.

Despite trailing 3-1 going into the bottom of the fifth in game one, Alli Davis continued to be hot at the plate, hitting a two-run home run to tie things up. Makenna Emerson would then single in Miranda Southall for the eventual game winning run as the Tigers took the opener 5-3. Emily Carstens picked up her team-leading 18th win in the circle.

The second game saw a much more dominant performance by the Tigers who put up four and five runs, respectively, in the second and fifth innings. Miranda Southall put in an excellent performance at the mound, allowing only two runs and three hits going the distance in the circle.
