WHITING, Ind. – Emily Carstens (SR/Peotone, Ill.) and Alli Davis (SO/Mount Zion, Ill. ) each narrowly missed hitting for the cycle in the opener against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) on Friday, March 30. Both were a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with Carstens recording a single, double and home run, while Davis added a single, triple and home run to lead the Olivet Nazarene University softball team to a five inning 10-0 win. Carstens stayed hot in the night cap, finishing 3-for-4 to lift the Tigers to an 8-0 six inning victory. The sweep of the Wave improves the Tigers to 8-0 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings, three games ahead of Indiana University South Bend and St. Ambrose University.
