VIENNA, W.Va. - Top-seeded University of Rio Grande picked up a pair of wins to reach the winner's bracket final of the 2018 River States Conference Softball Tournament, Friday afternoon, at Jackson Memorial Park.
Third-seeded Midway University was within one out of joining the RedStorm in Saturday's winner bracket final, leading seventh-seeded Carlow University, 6-4, in the top of the seventh inning when rain forced tournament officials to suspend the contest.
Two other games in the loser's bracket of the double-elimination tourney were washed out and have been rescheduled for Saturday morning
