On Monday afternoon, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2019 Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-America Team for softball. On the team was Doane senior outfielder Jordan Van Roy (Elkhorn, Neb./Papillion-LaVista H.S.). She received First Team honors for the second straight year.
Van Roy posted a .373 batting average in 2019 while recording team-highs in doubles (15), triples (6), home runs (5) and sitting second on the team in batting average, runs batted in (25), and stole bases (5). She was selected First Team All-GPAC for the second straight season.
Capping a stellar career for the Tigers, Van Roy finished atop the Doane Softball charts with 45 doubles and 13 triples. She added Top 10 career rankings in hits (206, 3rd), slugging percentage (.607, 4th), runs (122, 4th), batting average (.375, 6th, and runs batted in (107, 6th).
