Pretty sure if you include Columbus and everything north of it that we're talking at least 2/3 of the population of the state ... just by sheer numbers, there should be like twice as many teams, right? And the Akron/Canton area is without question one of "hotbeds" of softball in the state. But one should not conclude that the teams in the southern part of the state are weaker ... there's just less of them because there are less people the way you've defined north and south ...

Why does it have to be North versus South? History tells us North versus South is a bloody affair and those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Can't we talk about how teams from Ohio are beter than teams from North Dakota or Wyoming.
:p

I hope I will see you tomorrow at one of our crappy southern indoor places, watching some poor southern High School kids play on their not as good southern indoor fields. We will have words about your plumbing comments. The split is the worst the Browns can do. Bungal fan is just awful and its gotta be painful to live that way. We lose with pride. Go Browns of the mighty North. How dare I root for a Northern Ohio Team (Browns) when I sit her in Cincy???? I must be mad!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for this idiot for driving up north (sorry to our Northern friends). Maybe it's because of parents like yourself, we "Southerners" are so far behind. What a joke!

That is the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. There are many very strong teams in the south and it's ignorant to think otherwise.......even more rediculous is that you felt the need to post it.

Draw it where you want but the teams from Columbus north are better! I can say this for a fact since I drive my daughter from Cincinnati to Akron every weekend. Not that I don't want my daughter playing on one of the 32 Cincy Slammers teams but face it the north is stronger!

Who Dey!
Maybe you have to drive 4hrs North, because the teams in the South think your an ***? By the way Columbus is N of Cincy, but isn't considered a N OH City! Look it up on a map.

I agree. Up here in Akron we consider Columbus central/southern.

Ok, I couldn't resist....from a geographical standpoint. Centersburg is the geographical center of Ohio. It is midway between Mt. Vernon and Columbus. That makes Columbus in the sourthern part of the state...:D
