SPEED, SPEED "OFC / TSZ" Server Upgrade

Were going to get a new server for OFC / TSZ "SPEED COMING.

Once this upgrade is complete you won't need to worry about OFC / TSZ being Slow.


During the server upgrade the site will be down for about 2 hours.

Been working on the new server. Still a few things we need to do to before moving over, but after we move speed shouldn't be an issue....

When are you expecting to have exerything completed???

Speed seems better today, but then again it's been up and down the last couple of weeks so I don't want to assume that everything is OK now. By copy to Bear and Ricky, are you guys tracking the traffic on the site ... it seems way down, and I am concerned about the quantity and quality of this site on an ongoing basis. Are there any other plans to try to get things back to where they used to be?

Traffic on the site has been slower ever the last couple of years. That one of the reasons for the upgrade and merger of the two sites. Getting people to become new members has been harder due to the problem with the old VB plus the content of the site. With the new upgrade it will be allot easy to become a member.

One of the problem we have been dealing with is Spammers and hackers, and the list goes on and on.

I do feel once complete that we will have a better chance at gaining more new members.

Is the new server up and running now? Seems better today, though not blazingly fast.

I have actually been avoiding coming on here because it's been so slow. (5 minutes to display a page slow)

I hadn't been on OFC for about three weeks - because I thought it was still under construction. Now that I've finally made the extra steps needed to get here, I must say that it seems to be much slower than what we're accustomed to. Plus, everything just looks strange. Like I'm on a cheap imitation OFC...

I also realize I'm an old dog trying to learn a new trick.
