The Stark County Terrier's Baseball and Softball Club are excited to announce an expansion in our fastpitch softball organization. For the 21/22 season we will be offering both a 10u and 12u Girls Softball teams. As a 10u team in the current 20/21 season the team had great success: Three Championship wins (Phantoms Veterans Memorial Halloween Bash – Silver Bracket Champions, T-Town Showdown – Gold Bracket Champions, and Ashland's Summer Classic – Champions and USA Nationals Qualifier), Three Runner-ups (Tallmadge Force Fall Brawl, FASA State Championship, and Ashland's B/C Finale) and an impressive 3rd place against multiple out of state teams in the Ohio Blast Father’s Day Classic.
Our older girls are moving up and will be the base for our 12u team. We plan to continue playing a competitive schedule, practice through the winter at an indoor facility, and grow as a team. We are looking for 2010/2009 girls with the right attitude, a willingness to work hard, and that are open to developing their skills beyond what they are today. We have openings for all positions and while we are based in Stark County, we invite all girls interested in becoming a Terrier to join us for our tryouts listed on the attached flyer.
Our 12u team will be coached by Ryan White and Angela Seders. Ryan played collegiate level baseball at Walsh University and was a three-year letterman & a two-year team captain in high school. He played eight years of competitive travel baseball and has five years of rec. & travel ball coaching experience. Angela played four years of softball for Perry (Massillon) High School and six years of travel ball before moving to play four years of collegiate ball at Malone University. After graduation she stayed on as a graduate coach and an assistant coach for three years, at which point Malone made her the Pioneers head softball coach, a position she held for four years. Ryan and Angela bring a unique style to their coaching strategy and want to provide the best opportunity for the girls to learn and grow.
Stark County Terriers 12u will be practicing on the same field as the 2021 OHSAA Division I Softball State Champions. The Perry Panthers Softball team is allowing us to use their facilities in their down times. We will have access to all this facility has to offer including the high school field, JV field, and Pony field.
