well you can't choose who's in your bracket. In case you didn't know the #1 seed chooses their spot first and then the #2 seed chooses their spot and so on. Not sure why everyone else decided to pick their spot. We're just a lowly D2 school so I'm sure that there's no way we could ever compete with your big power house D1 teams.

I thought in the Cincy & Dayton districts the top 2 were seeds in each were no brainers. Then 3, 4, 5 seeds are pretty dead on in each district & outside of McAuley I've saw them all play.

I do agree that some teams seem to get a favorable draw but what are they supposed to do pack up the school and move to a different district?

Well in the southwest region where you get to pick your bracket it just shows how much other coaches respect your team. There is a reason most years people avoid Lebanon, Mason, as long as possible.

That doesnt have anything to do with "draw" when it seems everyone seeded 10 or below is on the other bracket. This first 3 game "favorable draw" happens every year.

You do know how the draw works I'm sure. Teams pick where they want to go in order of their seeding.

You dont let the coaches at the meeting decide the seeds, they manuever the system to where order of seeding manipulates who picks their spots. Also a already drawn out bracket , take the good ole boy system out of it.

Don't get me wrong I don't like to see some of these games either and it sure doesn't prepare a team for a better team when they face one. I'm not a coach but I sure would like to know what happens behind closed doors.

Also, seen high seeds continually skip their turn to post their team, the other teams post and then they jump in when they see the lay of the draw.

Well that's interesting. I guess that's what a higher seed gets you huh.

Right over here!
Clearly some districts are easier and some are harder. If your in a tough one like Massillon it's a gauntlet any way to slice it. Play through just like in club level ball. The schedule and hard work should have prepared you. I do believe its a benefit to come out of districts, from a tough bracket. Prepares you for regionals. Everyone is good at Firestone. Whatever the draw, yes even a favorable one, you have to play through.

I'm just wondering here, so if you keep the Coaches out of the seed meeting and have a "committee " choose the seeds and fill the bracket would it be any different?

Confused.....

How do they place higher seeds when games are still being played? Someone educate me, I am too busy "lazy" to research it, lol.

Our team, if we win first game, play right into Champion #1 seed. We are a #7, but team we beat head to head is #6 and different bracket.
