Storm '02 2016/17 season information
The goal of this 02 team is to find like minded players that want to excel at the sport of Softball. This team will be comprised of girls and parents that understand the game and what it takes to be the best player and teammate as possible. Players and parents that understand you must work on your own to be successful. At this age it is difficult to get full team practices but we will get a lot of game experience. After all you can not simulate games! I know this is a financial, time and emotional commitment and want to make sure we are all on the same page!
Expectations of players/parents:
Each player must have their own hitting instructor. Pitcher and catchers must as well
Keep GPA above 3.25
Continue to be athletic, i.e. Other sports
Understand we all have the same goal in mind
Increase game knowledge and softball situations
Understand the team effort and what it stands for
Expectations of Coaches and Organization:
To play as many games as we can to gain game experience
Work with players regarding other sports
Develop players in game knowledge and softball situations
Continually push players to their fullest potential
Work with players/parents to help get the girls to their next level
Promote team and players to get as much exposure as possible
Coordinate/Find camps and clinics for the girls
Maintain the love of the game

Will also be doing 2 indoor tournaments one being. Raw invite friendly
March 1st to May 25th- off due to school ball. For those players not wanting to do school ball or school does not offer it there are other alternatives that can be discussed
May 27th - August 1st - play a lot of ball, there are 10 weekends there. Will play at least 7 tournaments and a national, we may have 2 out of state and will play some 16u as well! This will be a very competitive schedule.
To tell you about me, I was Storm 02 head coach for 4 years playing over 350 games and continually proved to be one of the last teams standing. This year I have been assistant coaching with another organization after stepping down as head coach last year. This oppurtunity arose to be head coach once agin and I honestly could not pass it up. I am very passionate about the sport and to the development of the players and understand how important the next few years of their softball career is...
