Looking for names of people or places that can edit skills videos. We aren't equipped to do any editing. We know what should be done on video, just looking for help on editing, etc. Who would you recommend?

I would recommend you do it yourself. I don't see the need to spend money for someone to add music and graphics. College coaches don't want fancy videos! They want a few minutes of hitting, throwing, fielding and running so they can see if your daughter has the skill set they are looking for.

If they are a pitcher or catcher then that skill has to be shown as well.

Show them hitting from a rear and side view.

Show lateral movement, fundamentals, athleticism and arm strength for fielding.

Throw in a couple 20 yard sprints and a home to home and that will pretty much cover it.

They don't need to give a speech or do a dance or have slow motion replays. They just need to show they can play!

If she is a pitcher , showing speed on a pocket gun is helpful. Dont have to guess at velocity . Keep it short . Show her best attributes .

Spend a day on YouTube watching "softball skills video." You'll see some you're going to love and some not so much. When we made my dd's, she was being recruited at so many positions that we over did it and made a video too long. In the end, most schools want to know if your kid can hit if she plays the field and locate with various pitches if she is a pitcher. Good Luck! Oh, my dd's was done by her TB Team. Some TB Teams do this as a service and some don't.

We took the advice of a well known D1 coach. He said everyone has an iPhone or iPad. Take video with it and use an app called iMovie to edit it. We did quite a few different versions and it's very easy to use. There is no need to pay to have one done. As they get older you will need to update it anyway.

Find a friend with an I Pad that has the camera or check with someone at your school that is into videography. No need to send big money.

Windows movie maker is easy to use and you can record from phone or handheld and crop as needed for a solid 2-4 min video.
You just need to mess with it a bit to get the hang of adding frames stills or video.
I would avoid adding any distracting music. Also, make sure to include an introduction stating name, travel club team, coach, HS info and grade year.
When pitching you can stop frame on the timeline to add pitch type. Remember its a marketing tool so avoid, showcasing bad pitches/plays swing and miss etc.
