Looking for a nice end of season tournament to attend at the 16u level. In the past we did the week long SEAA World Series which is a nice tournament but at 16u-18u it turns into a standard weekend tournament. Anything in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky area worth looking into. I'm looking for that last weekend in July tournament to finish the season with good competition and a fun atmosphere.

Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

The 16u and 18u All Sanctions World Series at Berliner Park in Columbus will be July 17-19 in 2015. That's the weekend before you would like, but qualifies your other criteria. The opening ceremonies will be the afternoon before the tournament. At the opening ceremonies is pin trading, music and a parade of teams. After that is the individual and team skills events. It's a crazy "concert type" atmosphere for the opening ceremonies, then 3 days of softball tournament.

I have a parent that keeps telling me about a large tournament at the end of the year in Columbus, IN anyone know anything about this? I can't find anything on it. She said she thinks its USSSA.

Google all the info you have and see what comes up. I do that all the time trying to find out of state tournaments but I am assuming that they are not set yet as I have very little luck. Trying to find something in TN.

Dawgsdad.....If you are looking for something in TN, I would check out the SEAA World Series. It's in Pigeon Forge and they do a really nice job. Fields are great and great competition. It's also cheap...less than $400.

Let me know and I can give you a good condo place to look into. They are nice, reasonably priced and pretty close to the fields.

How about a solid Northern Ohio Spring/Summer Tournament 14U? Already registered for Orville.

USFA holds some tourneys in Columbus, IN and has a Northern Nationals in southern IN. They haven't committed to a specific location yet for 2015. Last year was in Shelbyville.

Entry fee is just one component of the cost. The total cost includes any additional player/team sanction reg fees, qualifying costs and gate/parking fees.

- SEAA: $400 entry + $40/week adult gate pass
- All Sanction: $510 + $5/day parking
- NSA: $600 (no gate) + qualifier(s) + OH State Champ

You are correct there....the gate fee is pretty crazy, but I still give it two thumbs up for being a nice tournament.
