Hitting and Hitters Discussion Switch Hitting

Keep her on the left! It normally takes 9 months of batting on the left side to learn to hit for power. What cshilt stated is true, it takes time and practice to learn to hit for power after you switch. Talking to most of the college kids that now bat left and throw right, they waited till high school. They all told me the same thing, they wish they had switched earlier. My 13U started back in NOV. With a good hitting coach that cshilt and I know. She is now hitting for power. She hits every day, so it takes practice.

Well, I guess from all the very good advice on here, I am going to have to talk to her coach. If he wants her to bat right only for power I don't want him to stop training her on the left. I'm not sure exactly how to handle the conversation, but I'm sure devine guidance will help. Thank you all for your advice. I know I kind of hijacked this thread. Thanks for your patience.
