My daughter has worn a tendonitis strap on her right forearm when she pitches for about 5 years. She was advised to do this by a sports medicine doctor after dealing with tendonitis in her right elbow when she was 12.
Its only been an issue once or twice and each time, after she explains its purpose to the umpire, she is allowed to pitch with the tendonitis strap on.
Last night though during a high school game, the umpire told her she needed to remove the strap.
What is the official ruling on this by the OHSAA? Does it differ at all for USSSA, ASA, NSA?
