and Dave DeWalt (Wolfpack), Tom O'Shea and Cleveland Marriott Key Center for supporting Stay in Softball by donating auction items (Akron Racers, Dave Dewalt, Tom O'Shea and Marriott) and equipment (SPC) at this weekend's tournament. The auction raised almost $500 for SIS.

Thank you also to Valley Extreme for hosting the tournament and providing numerous items for the tournament and countless man-hours.
Thank you also to the Lady Lookouts 14u Premier, the Kuhrt family, Jeff Baker and Ricky Moorhead and Warren Wolff for your donations to SIS.

For those of you who do not follow our Facebook site, we would like to update you on a recent message we received yesterday from the Akron Buchtel middle school team we recently sponsored. They were going to have to cancel their season after postponing their first game because they did not have equipment or jerseys. Due to the generous donations of SIS donors (many on this site), we were able to outfit the team with equipment for all of the girls, team equipment and uniforms. Because of the donations they were able to practice - all at the same time instead of rotating girls between a few pieces of equipment. They were able to play their second game (which they only lost by 2) and have gone undefeated since. They are playing on 10/15 at 4:00 at the Firestone field against 1st place team Akron Ellet. We are working with the team to try to get a free team clinic scheduled between now and then so they are ready to impress at their big game! Several parents have contacted us to tell us how much this means to their daughters, so thank you for having a positive impact on these girls' lives!

We are also teaming up with CYO (where Meghan first started softball) to help sponsor another lower income team (and maybe help another school start a team). We will also be announcing some of our upcoming winter activities soon- some geared towards travel players (if you are very interested, you can listen to the SIS Championship game broadcast as Ricky and Jeff previewed a few of the plans).

So thank you to all who helped make this weekend- and all of our past and future activities a success! Thank you also to the individuals who have contacted us recently asking to help. Now that the tournament is over, we will be turning our attention to organizing all of the people who want to help.
